Why did we come to this world?

Who am I?

Why was I born into this world?

Honorable Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi reminded the Disciples with his clear voice from the universe to contemplate the Dharma which they received. Did the prophets who knew why they were born in this world also know their own purpose of coming to this world?

The illumination from Holy Master was understood and fathomed differently by the people who heard this Dharma. It sounded simple but really it was not simple. When one contemplated the Dharma deeper, one would find it could be too deep to reach the end of the tunnel. Such precious Mani treasure is difficult to find in the world today, but can be found in Guang Huan Mi Zong Buddhism.

The following is my personal understanding to share with you:

“Who am I?” – Am I someone’s son? Am I someone’s husband? Am I part of someone’s family? What am I? These answers all have limitations. I’m not just somebody, but part of the Buddhist Dharma. The universe is impermanent, the world is impermanent, and I’m also impermanent. All of my behaviors and wishes are impermanent, adjusting according to the need of the beings, and transforming under the guidance of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

Why is one born into this world? The answer is not obtained when one is a sentient being, and is known when one is a Bodhisattva, an enlightened being. A Bodhisattva derives from the sentient beings. A being often acts how a Bodhisattva would act, becomes enlightened, and afterwards becomes a Bodhisattva. If a being strays away from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, this being will live forever in the cycle of reincarnation and cannot become a Bodhisattva. Despite the occasional rise or fall, it will be difficult to transcend the affliction of Samsara.

If a Bodhisattva remains distant from the Buddha, or Dharma, he or she cannot become a Buddha. A Bodhisattva requires the guidance from the Buddha. There are instances where people in the world, have been known to have a profound level of mind. However, they eventually do not meet the Guru, the Buddha, or the Bodhisattva who could have been able to guide them with light in their life. No wise mentor is found to give them the direction of a real home. Time is wasted; they feel empty and vain, with unavoidable regret towards the end. Money and worldly pleasures for them are illusionary and transient. They receive nothing and waste their valuable lives.

“What do we do after we come to this world?” To find our long-lost parents. We all know that we have parents after when we are born, but we do not know about our long-lost parents. That is Buddha. That is Sakyamuni Buddha, Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi! These parents are those with a deep affinity in the cycle of life and death.

When you find your parents, you should listen to the Dharma, contemplate the path and verify it through experience. Repeat and continue it in this way, and then you will not be far away from freedom and wisdom!

The reason of a Bodhisattva being a Bodhisattva, is that the Bodhisattva is often around the Buddha, and benefits countless sentient beings endlessly. Regard the Buddhist Dharma as your father and sentient beings as your mother. This is the path of a Bodhisattva.

Those who walk on the Bodhisattva path should follow the example of Sakyamuni Buddha. Under the Bodhi tree, the moment of the Buddha standing up is a moment of letting go, letting go of something seemingly difficult to let go of. When everything is in your heart, and all burdens are let go, then naturally you will realize the achievements. In this way, the cultivation path will be meaningful and valuable!

P.S. Guang Huan Mi Zong precepts will be observed by those who have merits. The precepts are the basic rules of becoming a Buddha; disregarding the precepts is equivalent to the abandonment of Buddhahood. One cannot attain the achievement of Perfect Enlightenment without following the path of a Buddha.

In the era of rampant disease and epidemics, all parents are still consumed in pain and affliction. The compassionate Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi leads all the Bodhisattvas to pray for blessing and health for all parents around the world!
