Buddhist Leader Calls for Global Action on Health and Peace

– Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi urges global harmony and responsibility during San Diego Dharma Convention

San Diego, CA — January 25, 2026

At a time of profound global uncertainty marked by conflict, public health challenges, and social division, Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi delivered a keynote address at a Global Dharma Convention in San Diego, calling for a renewed global commitment to Human Health, World Peace, and Religious Harmony.

Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi emphasized that the crises confronting humanity today arise not only from material imbalance, but from a deeper erosion of spiritual awareness and shared moral values. He noted that only by elevating humanity’s understanding of life, health, and peace can lasting solutions to illness, suffering, and civilizational conflict be realized.

As the founder of Guang Huan Mi Zong, Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi has been publicly teaching the Dharma since 1986. For four decades, he has promoted the Great Perfection Dharma, advocating spiritual cultivation as a path to physical and mental well-being and as a bridge for dialogue and understanding across cultures and faiths.

During the convention, he described health as the foundation of personal happiness and social stability, peace as the cornerstone of sustainable development, and religious harmony as a guiding direction for humanity’s future. He called on governments, institutions, and individuals alike to transcend differences and recognize their shared responsibility in shaping a healthier, more peaceful world.

The San Diego gathering marked an important step in ongoing global dialogue. Holy Master Ziguang Shang Shi said he will continue advancing spiritual exchange and practical initiatives to help light the way toward a more harmonious future for all.

With the light of wisdom shining everywhere, peace is within reach. As human civilization awakens, great harmony draws ever closer.
